PROFESSIONAL  ACTIVITIES

  • Invited talk on 'Underwater Robots - Challenges in Design and Control' at IEEE MAS Symposium held at Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore (24 January 2019)

  • Course instructor for Robotics Training Program to the engineers from TVS Sundaram Clayton

  • Teaching Assistant for courses on Mechatronics System Design and Field and Service Robotics.

  • Guided various projects, majorly on system design and electronics. 

  • Internee at Combat Vehicle Research and Development Establishment, Defence Research and Development Organisation (CVRDE-DRDO) 

  • Member, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.

Positions of responsibilities

  • Head, Industrial collaborations – Aero club, Centre for Innovation, IIT Madras. 

  • Organised a two-day Workshop on Embedded Robotics and Image Processing, and served as a course instructor for the whole session.

  • Secretary of a student chapter e-SAT during my bachelor's program and organised two National level technical Symposia (Quantaz’10 & Xet’09).

  • Chairman of IEEE student chapter and organised a National level conference ‘Globanario-10’.

  • Guiding interns at Robotics Laboratory, IIT Madras with various projects.

Competitions

  • Finalist in MICAV 2014, a National level MAV competition organized by National Aeronautics Laboratory (NAL) – CSIR, Bangalore, representing IIT Madras.

  • Finalists of NI-YANTRA’11, a National level Embedded Robotics competition conducted by National Instruments and demonstrated two of our projects.
    o    Developed vision-based tracking algorithm using LabVIEW and implemented in a tracked vehicle.

  • Participated in a tech event Pragyan’11 at NIT, Trichy and implemented a leader-follower algorithm on a pair of differential drive robot.
    o    Developed an algorithm in follower robot to track the real-time odometry information of the leader.

  • Participated in a robotics competition in Kurukshetra’10 at Anna University, and implemented a maze solver algorithm for a differential drive robot.
